Top 5 Drugstore Moisturizers Under $20
The battle of moisturizers! Today I wanted to talk about my favorite moisturizers for winter time to tackle dry and scaly skin. And don't worry...they're all affordable options from the drug store!
I have been using Cetpahil since I was a teenager going through all kinds of skin changes. Although this is a thicker cream, it's effective. I like to use it at night and let it soak into my skin while I sleep, and I wake up to to my dry patches gone.
Aveeno is also a brand. This moisturizer has SPF 30 Sunscreen, it is oil-free, and a sheer moisturizer deeply that hydrates skin all day. It also has Total Soy complex to reduce the look of dark spots and even tone and texture
A newer moisturizer I discovered is this Garnier Moisture Bomb. I chose to include this because this is a great dupe for the Belif - The True Cream Aqua Bomb, which is $38.00 for almost the same size! They're both a great gel that gets absorbed into the skin pretty quickly and doesn't get sticky.
Garnier Moisture Bomb $12.79
Neutrogena came out with the Hydro Boost line, with different moisturizers. I've picked my 2 favorite ones here. They both have hyaluronic acid, and work well as a night or day cream. The Hydro Boost hydrating serum is great to use after your toner, or just by itself. The Hydro Boost multivitamin booster is more intense, it was designed to revitalize dull, tired skin. It also helps improve skin's natural moisture barrier and it has a multivitamin complex and Vitamin E to brighten skin. When I use this as my "treatment" in my skincare routine, this serum leaves skin feeling hydrated and energized.
So save your coin this Christmas on those expensive department store moisturizers and try one of these drug store ones. They all work very well for my extremely dry winter skin. When my office is blasting the heater, and with the cold harsh winter winds blowing against my face, these moisturizers have definitely helped me battle red, scaly and dry patches.
