ColourPop x Zoella Collection Review
Are you as excited about this collection as I am? I bought several products from the new ColourPop x Zoella collection and I am so excited to show you the look I came up with!
Here is the list of products I used:
*Pictures are from colourpop.com
I came up with a more dramatic eye look because I really wanted to use that gorgeous blue color "Brunch Club." I find that the matte shades in this palette blend beautifully and the consistency is creamy. Although a little powdery in the pan, I did not have any fall outs. I started with "Maple Syrup" on the crease as a transition color, and then used "French Toast" to deepen the outer V. To smoke out the look, I used "Brunch Club." I also used "Brunch Club" and "French Toast" on the lower lashline. For the lid, I used the cream shadow "Bellini." On the website, it says that it's a rose gold cream shadow, however I find it to be more of a bronze-y shade. I set that cream shadow with "Cinnamon Sugar" from the palette. Now, you really don't need to set this cream shadow, it sets rather quickly, and once it sets, it WILL NOT BUDGE. So move it around and blend it while you can! Cinnamon Sugar was more orange-y than I expected, so I then used "Champagne Toast" to brighten the inner corners and inner portion of the lower lashline. These shimmery shades are beautiful, but they do have quit a bit of fallout. I finished off the look with some falsies!
For the face, I really like the No Filter Foundation. The color I got, Light 50 matches really well with my skin tone! It has a warm, yellow undertone, so it was perfect for me. It comes in 30 shades, so that's quit the range! It is full coverage and buildable without being cakey. I'll definitely be using this again.
For concealer, I got the shade Light 10. I wanted something light for that brightening effect, so I went maybe a shade lighter than I normally would. The concealer sets pretty quickly, so I recommend putting it on one side of the face and blending before working on the other side. Overall, I like this concealer too! I wore this all day, and it didn't crease on me or bunch up under my eyes all day. Although the shade is too light for me to use everyday, I'm going to go back and purchase my everyday shade!
The Sheer Pressed Powder is exactly what the title says....Sheer. I prefer a powder with a little coverage to help provide more coverage on the face for that flawless finish. But sometimes, powders with more coverage can get heavy, which this powder is not. I appreciate the light weight, because it didn't feel like a heavy veil on my face all day long!
The collection also have 3 lip bundles at $11.50. They have 2 nude shades, and a bright red shade. Of course I went with the bright red...The bundle I got is called "Give Us the Goss." The bundle comes with a lip pencil and a matte liquid lipstick. I got the lip pencil in "Bossy" and the liquid lipstick in "Self Love Club." The liquid lipstick doesn't need a lip pencil before hand, but I do find that overall it helps the color not fade throughout the day. I really think ColourPop has refined their matte liquid lipstick formulas over the year, because when they first came out and I tried it, it was super drying for my already always-dry lips. However, this one is not and I was able to wear it comfortably throughout the day.

In my tutorial, you'll see that the Swipe Right highlighter I ordered actually didn't have anything in the pan....lol. I contacted ColourPop after the video and they have sent me a replacement! I do like the highlighter, in the pan it looks like your regular shimmery shade. But when you swatch it and on the face, it gives off this iridescent color, with a purple shimmery shift. However, on the website it says that it is a "soft peach with a pink duochrome flip." I just find that in certain lighting, it gives off more of a purple shift.
So is this collection worth the hype? I think so! I love the palette, the quality and price is consistent with the other ColourPop eyeshadows. The packaging are all super cute and fun. Even if you're just going to try this out, give it a shot, the price is very affordable!
