My Top 5 Eyeliners

Happy New Year! I'm welcoming 2019 with a new blog post about my favorite eyeliners for the perfect cat eye ;)

My daily makeup necessities consist of eyebrows, concealer, eyeliner, blush and lipstick! I also feel like a small cat eye can make me look and feel more awake. Having a good eyeliner is like having a good pen - it makes all the difference in your results. So, here are my top 5 favorite eyeliners.

I'll start off with my favorite liquid eyeliner! A lot of people think liquid is hard to use, but a felt tip is the best beginner eyeliner in my opinion. If you make any mistakes, it can easily be fixed by using a q-tip dipped in makeup remover. My top pick is the Etude House All Day Fix Pen Liner in black. It also comes in brown! This liner indeed does stay on all day, even when I have watery eyes. I also love to use this to go over my lash band when I have falsies on. It helps everything blend together.

My next pick is the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in black/brown. I love using this for a more natural look as it's perfect for tight lining the upper lash line for that "invisible" liner look. I flick it out a little bit for a mini cat eye.

Speaking of pencil eyeliner, my next favorite is a splurge. It's the Marc Jacobs Gel Eye Crayon. It comes in 4 different finishes; shimmer, matte, satin, and glitter. I love how creamy and easily it glides on, so that there's no tugging on the eyes. It doesn't smudge and it does stay on all day, even on my waterlines. I like to use the glitter ones as a glitter base for my eye shadows, or applying a thin line on top of my regular liner for a shimmery look.

My last 2 picks are also my favorite type of liners - Gel Liners! My current favorite daily one is the L'Oreal Infallible Lacquer Intense Gel Eyeliner. It is really smooth, and once it sets, it doesn't budge until you remove it. It's super easy to put on and the brush it comes with isn't bad at all.

My last pick is another splurge, but is worth it. The Bobbi Brown Long-wear Gel Liner is my holy grail eyeliner. Not only does it last all day, but if you go over your existing eyeliner, it doesn't flake. It also doesn't dry out quickly, and can last quite awhile. Although pricey, I have found that it can also be used as a great base for my darker eye shadows since it doesn't smudge and flake.

2018 was a great year. I discovered a lot of things about myself, and gained enough confidence to start my blog and talk about all the things I love. I have set my goals for 2019 already, and it's going to be a busy year. If you're reading this, thank you for supporting me! I have a lot of exciting things to come :)
