Wet N Wild Rebel Rose Smokey Eye
Wet N Wild recently came out with a bunch of new products, one collection in particular caught my eye! It is their Rebel Rose collection. The new collection included 3 color icon quad eyeshadow palettes, 2 megalast liquid catsuit matte lipsticks, 2 megalast liquid catsuit high shine lipsticks, and 2 rose shaped brushes. Regarding skincare, they also have some rose serum primer, face oil and toner.
I first saw this at my local Walgreens, and they only had a few things on display, so I didn't buy the whole collection to try out! But I was able to test out the Rebel Rose Photo Focus Rose Primer Serum, Color Icon Quad in House of Thorns, and the Perfect Pout Gel Lipliner in Never Petal Down. This was the look I created using the eyeshadow palette!
Here are all the products I used:
Jaclyn Hill x Becca Face Palette (Discontinued)
I chose the House of Thorns palette because of the more dramatic colors. I wanted to see if their darker colors are pigmented enough and blendable. It does hold up throughout the day as I wore this look out for the night. As darker, matte eyeshawdows are harder to make blendable in my opinion, I think Wet N Wild did a good job with this quad. The black and burgandy eyeshadows are blendable and pigmented enough for me to do this dramatic look! There was some fallout when I was putting them on, but it wasn't too bad. For the price of $4.99, I'd say this palette is a must try of the Rebel Rose collection!
As for the Rose Serum primer, I think I like it more as a serum. I don't think it did much for me as a primer as my makeup lasted the same amount of time as it does without primer. However, it did leave my skin feeling softer and definitely more hydrated. Oh, and it smells so good!
The Perfect Pout Gel Lipliner was a good base for my lipstick. It went on super smooth and didn't bleed, so I definitely recommend it for the price. I'd also wear this color, Never Petal Down by itself as an everyday look.
