Fall Season Picks

It’s almost Fall season! I know the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale was recent and it’s long over by now….and if you weren’t able to score some of the popular items, I’m here to present you guys with some dupes 😊 I myself had early access to the sale, however they cancelled my orders due to items becoming unavailable after a couple weeks…so I went on a search for a dupe for some of the items I wanted!

The trend for this fall/winter seems to be animal print – whether it’s leopard print, snake print, it’s in! I saw a lot of cardigans and sweaters with leopard print on them and they were cute….but pricey. I found this great sweatshirt from Aerie for $31! (It's $26 now) It had the leopard print and it’s oversized so it would be super comfy in the fall season. You can tuck it into your jeans or you can wear it to lounge around at home 😊

There were also a lot of ribbed sweaters in the anniversary sale (BP waffle knit top was $25.90). There's a TON of brands who make similar sweaters in a similar style. I found this cute burnt orange sweater from American Eagle for $17! I bought it in August and it was my birthday month, so American Eagle sent me a 15% off coupon ;) You can wear it as a top, or unbutton it to wear as a cardigan. I love the color, I think it would be perfect for fall, and the material is super soft and not itchy.

I also found some options from Old Navy....

...and Target for a cheaper price…plus they have sales all the time!

The Anniversary sale also had a variety of cardigans (BP leopard cardigan was $45.90) – and I would definitely say there are a lot of brands out there that make similar options. Target always have great cardigans.

...and Old Navy has great affordable options too. Both stores have so many different styles and colors to choose from as well.

They also had a lot of long sleeve thermals/sweaters (BP everyday V-Neck sweater was $29.90 and Socialite long sleeve thermal top was $24.90) I found a great thermal option from Amazon for $18! They come in 6 different colors and the material is nice and thick, and has a good amount of stretch to it. I would definitely be utilizing this when it gets colder!

As for the famous 1.STATE chiffon camisoles...they were on sale for $38.90, but I found mine at Target for $9.99! I love how similar the Target one is, and it even has these cute criss cross ties on the back.

Going to to Leopard print….They had a super cute leopard print dress that cinched at the waist by Row A. I found a bolder version from Missguided for $37. However, they have 50% off sales all the time and students get 10% off. The print is definitely bolder and it’s a mini dress but I love the back of this dress! It’s a super cute twist to a “normal” looking front.

I found another option from American Eagle for $37 too. It is very similar to the Row A one and is a super soft material, great for a dressier night out.

One of the most popular items I wanted to get was the blanc nyc suede skirt for $64.90! I found a faux suede option from Missguided for only $14! I know it’s not real leather, but that just means it’s light weight and easy to clean. I love this one from misguided because of the zipper detail and belt, and I think the taupe color will go with any outfit!

There were a lot of designer jeans on sale like rag&bone and top shop, but I wanted to provide some different affordable options! I wanted to get these Top Shop jeans during the sale for $49.90. It had these cool frayed leg hems. I found a great alternative option from American Eagle!

Mom jeans have also been pretty trendy…I found these at American Eagle as well. I love the loose fit for a more casual day. They're currently having a sale - 25% off all AE jeans and joggers, go check it out!

Off on a tangent…I love American Eagle jeans! I can always find the right pair and they have so many different styles. Their sizes range from 00 to 24 and comes in lengths x-short to x-long.

Another brand of jeans I also buy from is Levi Strauss. They have so many styles to choose from, and they also have a pretty wide range of sizes and different lengths. I always get their super skinny mile high and wedgie jeans. The fit is great and I just love that they have so many different styles to choose from!

I have a couple alternatives for some of the shoes that were on the Anniversary Sale. The first thing I wanted was an all white sneaker...so I was going to get the Cole Haan GranPro sneakers, but they are $85. A great alternative would be the Reebok Club C 85. They have some different color variations and they are super comfy and pretty much go with anything!

Another popular item was the Treasure&Bond wedges, I found these great dupes at Target for $35. They look very similar at an affordable price, and are SUPER comfy. I've been wearing them a lot this summer.

Last but not least, I wanted another pair of comfy work heels. They had a pair of chunky heels from Sam Edelman. I found my alternative at DSW - it's the Marc Fisher Caitlin Pump for $50.

Thanks for catching up with me today on my Back to School picks! It's been awhile since I've made a blog post, I had been busy focusing on other ventures like Instagram and YouTube but I will be making more posts as Fall is coming and it's my FAVORITE season :)
